Week 1: Foundations & Neurodivergent Mindfulness
An intro to DBT that’s neuro-affirming, practical, and consent-based. We build safety, explain the DBT framework without shame, and learn mindfulness that works for different brains (sensory, movement, micro-practices—no forced breathing).
Week 2: Finding the Middle Path
Flexible thinking without gaslighting yourself. Learn dialectics, validation (without agreeing), and how to hold two truths at once so you can get unstuck from all-or-nothing spirals.
Week 3: Tiny Tweaks = Big Changes
We look at patterns, not “personal flaws.” You’ll map behaviour chains, identify what keeps habits going, and design realistic change experiments using environment tweaks and brain-friendly supports.
Week 4: Safety First
We focus on getting your body on board before we ask your brain to do anything clever. Learn nervous system basics, grounding that actually works, orienting, containment, and sensory-based stabilisers you can use in real time.
Week 5: Keep Calm and Carry On
Crisis skills for when your nervous system hits the red zone. Learn how to get through intense moments safely, use sensory-first tools, and create a personal crisis plan that actually fits your life.
Week 6: Feel It, Don’t Fear It
Understand what emotions are, what they’re trying to do, and how to decode them when naming feelings is hard. Expect more body-based clarity, less shame, and better understanding of what you actually need.
Week 7: Build a Life That Lights You Up (Not Burn You Down)
Emotion regulation meets real-world sustainability. Build protective routines, reduce vulnerability to overwhelm, and learn strategies like opposite action and problem-solving adapted for burnout, sensory load, and capacity.
Week 8: People Skills, No People Pleasing
Interpersonal effectiveness with a focus on needs, self-respect, and clarity. Learn scripts to ask, say no, and communicate directly—without the anxiety spiral and over-explaining.
Week 9: Boundaries, Balance & Being Heard
Boundaries, repair, and conflict without melting into a puddle. Practice holding your line, handling guilt and rejection sensitivity, and using relationship skills that don’t require abandoning yourself.
Week 10: Integration Week & Graduation
Pull it together, troubleshoot what’s tricky, and leave with a plan to keep using the skills.
Total cost for 10 weeks: $1200 AUD

Medicare note (Australia only):
With a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Based on the figures you provided, this is $30.10 per session attended (eligibility and rebate amounts are subject to Medicare rules and can change). This would make the out-of-pocket cost approximately $89.90 per group session and $899 total.
NDIS
If you receive NDIS funding, you may be able to have the cost of the group covered by your plan. Contact your support coordinator or plan manager to find out if you are eligable.
